The perfect day at the races:
To celebrate the summer, Consort Insurance are partnering with Braxted Park Conference & Wedding Venue in hosting an Ascot Gold Cup themed event in the beautiful surroundings of Braxted Park Estate.
To be held on Thursday 21st June 2018, the event promises to bring all the thrills and spills of the famous horse race to Essex. Races will be displayed on a big screen and there will be betting facilities on site for those who fancy a flutter on the day.
Guests will enjoy canapes on arrival, a sizzling Summer BBQ mid-afternoon, followed by afternoon tea.
There will be various beverages served throughout the day to ensure guests remain properly refreshed, this will include a Pimms and Prosecco bar which will be open for the duration.
Post the races, Live Entertainment will conclude what promises to be a fantastic day.

Directions and Accommodation:
London / Chelmsford by car: On the A12 heading towards Colchester it is important to by-pass Witham completely. Ignore all signs off the A12 until you see the sign to Rivenhall and Silver End.
The major landmark is the left turn off the A12 by a large disused pub called the Fox. Take this turning signposted to Rivenhall and Great Braxted. If you get to the Kelvedon turn off you have gone too far.
You will come to a T Junction: Turn Right following signs to Great Braxted and Witham, where you will see a brown sign for Braxted Park.
Exactly 1 mile after taking the right turn and after going over a little humpbacked bridge, you will encounter the Braxted Park Wall for the first time.
Follow the sign to Braxted Park Estate Conference Centre, Wedding Venue, Cookery School and Offices, not Braxted Park Golf Course. i.e. follow road round to right leaving the wall on your left. Exactly ½ mile later the entrance to Braxted Park Estate will appear to your left. Enter the estate, come down the drive and park in the gravel car park.
Colchester by car: On the A12 after going past Kelvedon, take the turning to Rivenhall and Great Braxted by the Rivenhall Hotel, just after the BP service Station.
At the T junction turn right, where you will see a sign to Great Braxted. Follow that road until you go over the humpbacked bridge, after which you will encounter the Braxted Park Wall. Then follow directions as per above.
By Rail: The nearest train station to the Braxted Park Estate is Witham, which links directly from Liverpool Street and all stations on that line, from here it is typically a further 14 minutes by road. Crusader Cab is located opposite the station, Chet’s minicab service and Knights Taxis are also local;

Hotel Accommodation:
There is accommodation available on the Braxted Park Estate for up to 12 guests at £125 per room, this includes a continental breakfast the next day. Check-in is at 3pm and guests can check out 10am.
There is also a stunning Garden Cottage located on the grounds which is available at £250 for the night.
